Mentorship Program

The EAL Nursing Support Group offers a mentorship program which has three goals:

  1. Enhancing academic/clinical learning – such as communication, writing, time management
  2. Cultural Exchange – through conversation, sharing food, activities, etc
  3. Social Network/Support – such as Canadian living

Mentors and mentees are recommended to meet regularly either once a week for half an hour or biweekly for an hour in a public area of MRU.  You will find an agreeable mutual time after an email introduction from Liza Choi. If you are interested, please contact Liza Choi for more details.  A 15 minute meeting will be scheduled with Liza.

Being a mentor is like a big sister or brother, you will share your insights of cultural background, Canadian living and academic/clinical learnings with EAL nursing student(s).

As a mentee, you will learn so much from having a big brother/sister.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or a mentee, please fill out the form below.
