A Small Step In the Direction of Restoring the Grounds
Physical Resources negotiated a great end-of-season deal on some trees. We will be planting 22 Green Ash, 10 Swedish Aspen, 4 Maydays, and 4 Hawthorne in various locations across the campus before the snow falls. During the winter we are going to refresh the grounds masterplan and develop specific planting strategies for three of the hardest hit areas:
The Memorial Garden (7 trees lost)
The Art’s (T-Wing) Courtyard (13 trees lost)
Health (U-Wing) Courtyard (9 trees lost)
Any suggestions or ideas would be welcome for any of the areas on campus. As an aside, there are 78 acres of space to plan and care for and around 18 kilometers of pathways weaving through a campus describes by the Huffington Post (before the snowstorm) as one of the most beautiful university campuses in Canada.
