Bissett student headed to the Canadian Business Model Competition

Bissett School of Business  extends congratulations and best of luck to Emily Bartlett as she embarks cross country to  Halifax to compete in the Canadian Business Model Competition. For the third year in a row, a Bissett student has been accepted into the highly competitive Canadian Business Model Competition at Dalhousie University in Halifax, March 10-11, 2017.
Emily will be representing Mount Royal University as she shares her journey as a co-founder of Green Cup.
Ray DePaul, Director for the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship says “this competition is unique in Canada as the students are not evaluated on their final venture idea, but rather on the journey they took to arrive at a validated business model. Emily and her co-founder Austin Lang are a great example of the effectiveness of the Lean Startup model as they continuously tested their assumptions by engaging first hand with their potential customers. The result was a very successful business that might otherwise have failed due to a series of invalid assumptions. Emily heads to Halifax on March 10th to tell her story to the judges.”
 Good Luck Emily!
