If you’re trying to gain an overview of US or modern world history, here’s something that might help.
A new feature called CLIO NOTES has recently been added to both America: History & Life and Historical Abstracts, two databases that the Library has licensed via EBSCO.
CLIO Notes is a great tool which provides chronologies and summaries of significant events and themes in US history and world history since 1450. Each period / event is divided into subtopics with informative essays and suggestions for further research. Linked subject terms which search the entire database are also provided.
Find America: History & Life and Historical Abstracts from the relevant Library -> Research Databases pages. To access CLIO Notes, click on the third button at the top left corner of the main page of either database.
Please contact the Library Info Desk for queries or assistance. Happy browsing!
