Amnesty Days results…

The Library forgave a total of $260.00 in overdue fines in exchange for food donations to the Student Food Bank.

Thank you very much to everyone who participated in this semester’s Amnesty Days.  The next Amnesty Days is tentatively scheduled for November.

Library Amnesty Days – March 24th & 25th

Help out your fellow students and save some $$$…

On Tuesday, March 24th and Wednesday, March 25th, 2009, the Library will take up to $5.00 off your fines with a donation to the Student Food Bank.  For more information, please see the Circulation / Reserve Desk or call 440-6019.

Items in high demand include: powdered or canned milk, canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, sugar, coffee, tea, peanut butter, baby food and formula.  There is also a great need for toothpaste, toothbrushes, liquid hand soap, baby care items, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products.

Don’t have Library fines but still want to help?  Feel free to drop your food items off at the Circulation / Reserve Desk on March 24th or 25th.

To access these licensed resources, go to the Library homepage, click on Find -> Encyclopedias. Scroll down the screen and you will see them listed under Commonly Used Encyclopedias.  For off-campus access, you will be prompted to type in your MyMRC username and password.

Statistics Canada website not avail. March 21-22

Statistics Canada website not available the weekend of March 21-22, 2009

The StatCan website (excluding the Census module) will be affected by
the power-down of the Main Computer Centre. On the weekend of March 21,
2009, access to www.statcan.gc.ca will prompt a
message stating that the site is not available due to maintenance.

Visitors will be encouraged to visit the Census module during that
period.
