Student Feedback – Hole Punch

Submission:

“I know it is minor especially in comparison to the new library you are trying to get funding for, but can we please get a new hole punch for by the printers.  It has seen far better days.  It rips the top holes all the time.”

Response:

Thank you for the suggestion!  We were able to track down a new hole punch that wasn’t being used.  We’ve placed this new hole punch by the printers behind the Information Desk.

Students – have your say!

Mount Royal is currently in the second phase of planning a proposed new Library & Learning Centre.  The building, which will sit on the East side of campus, next to the Roderick Mah Centre for Continuous Learning, will house not only the Library, but various other services and resources to facilate learning.  This phase of planning will result in a detailed building proposal which will be submitted to the Government of Alberta, and potential donors, to support a request for funding.

We are very interested in hearing what students have to say about a new library and learning space and the things they would most like to see there. We have put together a survey to learn about these thoughts and ideas, and also to learn more about use of library space. Survey results will help us to make decisions related to space and services, and will inform many aspects of building planning and design.

The survey takes around 5 minutes to complete. Once the survey has been completed, there is an opportunity to enter a prize draw for gift cards to Earls, iTunes, SportChek, FutureShop, Safeway and other good stuff!

As a part of further planning activities, the Library will be hosting student focus group discussions. If students are interested in participating in these discussions, they are encouraged to contact Alice Swabey via email.  (aswabey@mtroyal.ca)
