Student Library Advisory Council (SLAC)

Are you looking to get involved?  Why not join the Student Library Advisory Council (SLAC)?

Heading into its second year of existence SLAC is chartered under the Library Faculty council to be a resource and forum in which to gather input and advice from the Mount Royal student body on the development and growth in Library.   It will also share information about library initiatives with the student body.

Last year a group of 8-10 involved students helped shape and consult with other students regarding our newly rezoned and “facelifted” Library.  We also discussed new service ideas and met with the  Library Advisory Standing Committee of General Faculties Council.

You could make your voice heard too — join the group and help shape the SLAC agenda for 2010/11.

Our first meeting is Sept 28 10:30-11:30 in the Library Boardroom G201.
Please contact Kim Halvorson, Administrative Assistant, University Library by Sept 30th if you want to participate or if you would like more information.
