We are very excited to announce that the Library will be piloting new hours for exams again this Winter semester. The Library will now be available for studying and computer and printing needs between 10:00 pm and 1:00 am April 4 to April 27 inclusive (last week of classes and exam period). We will also be open from 10 am to 1 am on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Other library services will be limited during this time.
We are very pleased to be offering this pilot project as we respond to student requests for additional late night study space during exam time. This pilot will provide an opportunity to gather further data on student use of the space and to determine how we might want to best proceed with planning for extended exam hours next term and in the future.
Help out your fellow students and save some $$$…
From Tuesday, March 25th to Thursday, March 27th, 2014, the Library will take up to $5.00 off your fines with a donation to the Student Food Bank.
Items in high demand include: powdered or canned milk; canned tuna, salmon or meat; canned fruits and vegetables; sugar, coffee, and tea; peanut butter; baby food and baby formula. There is also a great need for toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, baby care items, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products.
Even if you don’t have any Library fines, please consider making a donation, your generosity will be appreciated!
Please call 440-6019 or drop by the Circulation / Reserve Desk for more information.
UPDATE March 18, 2014: The issue causing the SSL error messages for electronic articles has been resolved as of 12:00 pm today. To avoid further issues, we recommend clearing your browser history/cache.
UPDATE March 14, 2014:
We are still working on this issue. Many students have had success with the suggestions listed below. We know clearing your cache etc. every time you want to access an article is not ideal. We appreciate your patience while we work through this, we are trying to resolve it as soon as possible. Check back here for updates.
We have had reports of intermittent SSL error messages when attempting to access articles electronically this week.
We are aware of this issue and are working on it.
Some students have found that clearing their cache and cookies, restarting their web-browser, and/or switching to a different web browser have been helpful.
