Elections Canada on Campus

Elections Canada will be in Wyckham rm. Z236 from Oct. 5-8. You can register, vote using a special ballot, or simply get more information. This is a great option for students who want to vote in their home riding but who won’t be able to travel for election day.

New drop in hours for the Archives

The Mount Royal University Archives in room I157 will be open for drop in use on Tuesdays from 10 – 12 and Thursdays from 9 – 11 throughout the fall term. Library staff will be on hand to assist you with your research. If you are interested in accessing the archives outside of these hours, please email archives@mtroyal.ca to book an appointment for your visit.

Food for Fines is now the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of Every Month!

Food for Fines is the first and third Tuesday of every month starting the Fall 2015 semester!

Patrons (including faculty and staff) are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food donations to the library for the SAMRU Peer Support Centre Food Bank on the first and third Tuesday of every month and receive up to $5.00 off of their library account fines.  It is a maximum $5.00 reduction in fines per Food for Fines day.

Items in high demand include: powdered or canned milk; canned tuna, salmon or meat; canned fruits and vegetables; sugar, coffee, and tea; peanut butter; pasta and pasta sauce; baby food and baby formula.  There is also a great need for toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, baby care items, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products.

Even if you don’t have any Library fines, please consider making a donation, your generosity will be appreciated.
