Kara Boyd- Addictions Counsellor

Kara Boyd is an addictions counsellor at Alberta Health Services: Youth Addiction Services and has been working with youth for the past 10 years. During this time, Kara has worked at Hull Child and Family Services providing support to high risk youth and working with community partners. In 2008, Kara moved to AHS- Youth Addiction Services where she was attached to the PChAD program. Her current role is a mobile counsellor specifically working with the PSECA clientele which includes client work and collaborating with other professionals.

Suzanne Leacock- Addictions Counsellor

Suzanne Leacock is an addictions counsellor at Alberta Health Services: Youth Addiction Services and has worked with high risk youth, and consulted with community partners who work with these youth for over 15 years. Suzanne was attached to AHS: In Roads Project, a provincial capacity building project with Calgary non-profit service providers that helped mentor on addiction screening, brief interventions, assessment tools, and referral process. Her current role, Safe Communities Mobile Counsellor includes both client work and community capacity building.
