We all lose…

Bullying is people using intimidation to get their own way or simply to make themselves feel powerful.

Bullying is what people resort to when they can’t achieve things in more positive ways.

A bully is never happy with a win-win or compromise—they want someone else to lose.

Twice this summer while dealing with flood issues I saw a big strong man resort to accusing someone else of bullying – simply because that person disagreed with him. If the bully adds this to their tools – another way to frighten someone into backing down (!) – then we all lose. That’s why it’s important to define bullying – it’s not just a disagreement or a difference of opinion!! But it is the denying of someone a chance to disagree with you!!
