From July 26 to 28, fifteen students and photography instructors Tracy Elliot and Rich Akitt went to Banff for the Mountain Photography Workshop.
They met as a group on Friday night, then took early sunrise photos on Saturday and Sunday. The class went up the Sulphur Mountain Gondola for photo opportunities and also did some evening/nighttime photography at various locations.
The class met again on August 7 to share photos. “I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend and surprised myself by how much I learned. From now on I will take a totally different approach to photographing the mountainsm,” said one of the students.
Here are some more of Tracy’s photos of the workshop.
Next up: Badlands Photography Workshop in Drumheller, September 6 through 8.
