Food for Fines Every Tuesday

Patrons (including faculty and staff) are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food donations to the library for the SAMRU Peer Support Centre Food Bank on any Tuesday to receive up to $5.00 off of their library overdue fines.  It is a maximum $5.00 reduction in overdue fines per Food for Fines Tuesday.

Items in high demand include: powdered or canned milk; canned tuna, salmon or meat; canned fruits and vegetables; sugar, coffee, and tea; peanut butter; pasta and pasta sauce; baby food and baby formula.  There is also a great need for toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, baby care items, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products.

Even if you don’t have any Library fines, please consider making a donation, your generosity will be appreciated.

Please call 403-440-6019 or drop by the Service Desk for more information.
