The Faculty of Health and Community Studies, Mount Royal University, is dedicated to experiential, hands-on learning for our students. The School of Nursing and Midwifery Simulation Learning Centre (SLC) supports this endeavour by providing a safe, simulated learning environment that promotes critical reflection and transformative learning of the knowledge, skills and attributes necessary for professional health care practice.
Those practicing in the SLC are expected to work in these areas as they would in a real patient care setting, maintaining respect for simulated patients, other learners and the environment in which they are immersed.
