Bissett Professor Mohammed El Hazzouri’s commentary on the racial impact of Calgary’s cannabis bylaw draws attention across border

Mohammed El Hazzouri wrote an article to The Conversation Canada discussing the racial impact of the Calgary bylaw banning smoking cannabis in public. The article reached 70,000 readers and was republished by national news outlets including The National Post and The Huffington Post. Leah Hamilton and Mohammed El Hazzouri presented their research on public health advertising targeting ethnic minorities at the Lightning Talk during MRU research days. They were also interviewed by The Star Calgary (and Toronto Star) to talk about their research findings.
