Problems linking to resources from Library Search Tool
We are experiencing problems with the Search Tool on the library home page. After you search for an item, the links in the search results are generating a message saying: “The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”
The provider for this search tool is aware of the issue and is currently working to resolve it.
In the meantime, you can use the Library’s traditional catalogue to search for and link to electronic resources and catalogue items. You can also use the Journals by Title search tool or the Database by Title search to find and link to journals and databases.
Proquest Down Sat & Sun
All PQ products will be down for maintenance from Saturday August 20th to Sunday August 21st. This will include all Proquest databases, ebrary, Pivot, Refworks and Intota.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Access to databases unavailable Friday morning
Access to all library databases, from on and off campus, will be unavailable on Friday, August 19 from 9 am to 10 am, due to a system upgrade.
We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.
System Upgrade is Completed – Users can login to their accounts
Thank you for patience. Our system upgrade has been completed and normal service has resumed.
Library Online Accounts Still Unavailable
Although the library catalogue is back online, our library systems upgrade will not be fully completed until Thursday, August 4th.
If you attempt to log into your library account with a valid barcode and last name, you will likely receive a message saying: “You may not have entered your barcode and name correctly.”
When the upgrade is complete, you will be able to login to your account as usual. Please watch this blog for further updates.
Thank you for your patience.
Library Account & Catalogue Maintenance Outage – Aug. 3rd to 4th
Our library system is being upgraded and we anticipate that the system will remain offline from approximately 8:30 a.m. on August 3rd until approximately 4:30 p.m. on August 4th. Services affected include:
- browsing the traditional library catalogue
- logging into your library account
- placing holds
- renewing materials
You can continue to use the search box on the Library home page to access online resources and databases and search for materials. You can also use our Advanced Search Tool. You will, however, be unable to check item availability in our Main Collection.
If you need to access your account and renew your materials remotely, please do so before the scheduled outage or wait until service has been restored. If you have concerns about accumulating fines, please contact the Library Circulation Desk at 403-440-6019.
Thank you for your patience as we endeavour to improve our services.
